abortion is already effectively killed in some states in the south. the last 4 years have been absolutely devastating to america politically, domestically and abroad.
if the federal government attempts to intervene in pro-abortion states, what sort of precedent will this set if there is an administration change next election? the judiciary branch is effectively on ideological lockdown for at least a few decades, even with a complete administration change there will be significant barriers in reversing any decision made here.
