    depends on what you need it for.

    just need a single ip address to mask your real ip at all times? a linux vps in a datacenter close to you is hard to beat. forget laggy proxys or vpns or whatever, this shit will legit be way faster than whatever you're connecting to it from. disable x-forwarded-for header for bonus point.

    i used to intentionally route through a server I had in atlanta to bypass some of my ISP's shitty routing/equipment, and would get a 5-10ms latency reduction when playing LoL to west coast servers. imagine that, using a proxy server actually DECREASING your latency!
