To start this weekend off - I just finished migrating ieddit away from google cloud platform to a cheaper VPS host, which I have configured to prevent IP leaks by internet-mappers.
I finally ran out of google cloud credit, and needed to move IPs as the original google cloud ip was leaked by censys anyway.
Google cloud seems to be rather outrageously expensive for small scale things. New host is ramnode, a host I have used for years now, who offers a great performance/price ratio.
If anybody notices anything broken, let me know.
We're gonna get shit done today! :)
Honestly, good cloud performed well, but I wouldn't recommend it above other choices. I'm still annoyed that port 25 outgoing is blocked, for example. The prices are also 2.5-3x higher than the competition for general VPS instances.
