i haven't rooted my phone yet, mainly due to root exploits becoming rarer and rarer over the years.
i used to root my phone first thing upon buying it, but i mostly don't use my phone for anything but web-browser related things now so I haven't really felt the need. firefox with ublock-origin achieves what i want.
also, that 'is device rooted' flag causing a lot of apps to break is really fucking annoying
ha, no this isn't even android anymore. This project uses android kernel sources to build and boot an alpine linux desktop environment that is roughly the same across a hundred devices. It can run XFCE or Mate desktops like a pc and afaik was made for container deployments so it's tiny.
